Material and construction

Hickory is the most common wood used for drumsticks, and for good reason. It's a dense wood with little flex, giving a more pronounced sound while withstanding a great deal of shock and staying durable over time. The tip is a wood Tear Drop shape, deeply back-cut for a more intense response when playing on cymbals.

The Extreme length

For over 30 years, the American Classic® series has been a popular choice among drummers worldwide. Players kept asking for longer versions of the most popular models, which led to the Extreme models: each with an extra 1/2" of length for added reach and power without losing the feel of a standard 5B.

Who It's For

A great fit if you like a 5B but want a bit more stick in your hand and extra reach around the kit, whether you sit further from your cymbals or just want more power behind your strokes.
