Product Description
The Vic Firth T5 American Custom Timpani Wood is a pair of timpani mallets with maple handles and wood heads, built for concert playing where a hard, distinct attack is required. The head hardness is Very Hard, giving a clear attack while still retaining some softness in the low end.
The American Custom series is built on Vic Firth's approach to precision manufacturing. Handles in the finest maple and heads shaped carefully for consistent results mallet after mallet. The T5's wood head gives it its characteristic hard, wet and distinct sound, cutting clearly through an orchestra without becoming thin or harsh.
Construction
The handle is made of maple with a total length of 368.3 mm (36.83 cm). The head, made of wood, has a diameter of approximately 31.8 mm. Sold as a pair.
