Vic Firth T3 American Custom Staccato
Vic Firth T3 American Custom Staccato timpani mallets, maple handle and felt head, medium hard. Soft yet clear touch for nuanced playing.
Product Description
The Vic Firth T3 American Custom® Staccato is a timpani mallet with a maple handle and a compact felt head in a medium hard grade. It gives a light, soft feel with a clear touch, ideal when you want a nuanced sound that still projects clearly through the orchestra.
Vic Firth designs its keyboard and timpani mallets together with leading artists to cover a range of instruments and dynamic levels. The head is made with high precision for serious timpani work, but the mallet also performs well on cymbals, tom-toms, and in general drum set playing when you want a softer, more compact attack.
Feel and use
The medium hard felt head gives a light, nimble attack without losing definition. Useful when the music calls for a softer but still clearly articulated touch. Sold per pair.
About Vic Firth
