SSG2 Signature Series Steve Gadd - Clear

Product Description

The Vic Firth SSG2 is Steve Gadd's signature drumstick, developed together with the legendary session drummer himself. It features a long taper, a wooden barrel tip, and this Clear finish version gives a more traditional feel in the hand. A great choice if you want to play the same stick that has shaped some of the most iconic recordings in music history.

Steve Gadd is one of the most well-known and highly regarded session and studio drummers in the industry, with a discography reading like an encyclopedia of the greatest musical acts of all time. In the early 1980s, Vic and Steve began working together on a true design collaboration. The first of its kind in the drumstick industry. And every signature stick since has been made with the same care for artistry and musicality.

Construction

The SSG2 is made from hickory, with a diameter of 14 mm (1.4 cm) and a length of 400.1 mm (40.01 cm). The long taper adds extra rebound and a great feel in the hand. The barrel-shaped tip is made of wood and produces a sweet, distinct cymbal sound. This version has a Clear finish, a paint-free, natural-looking surface for a more traditional look and grip.

Who It's For

For players who want Steve Gadd's own signature stick but prefer the classic Clear finish over the raw, unfinished version. Sold per pair.
