Vic Firth SCS2 StaPac Snare Heavy - Lacquer
Product Description
The Vic Firth SCS2 is a laminated birch snare stick, developed from the classic SD1 General for symphonic percussionists who want a heavier stick with balanced feel. Compared to the SD1, the SCS2 is longer with a longer taper and a thinner shaft, adding balance to the weight and durability of laminated birch for a truly impressive feel and sound.
Construction
Laminated birch gives the stick extra weight without sacrificing playability, paired with a round tip and a medium taper. The shaft has a lacquer finish.
Part of the Symphonic Collection
The SCS2 belongs to Vic Firth's Symphonic Collection, a series of snare sticks and mallets designed together with some of the world's leading symphonic percussionists, aimed specifically at concert artists. The series includes several unique models with tips and constructions developed to give the best possible feel and sound for different orchestral pieces, made from carefully selected materials and checked to meet the highest international standards.
