Vic Firth RUTE-X
Product Description
The RUTE-X Poly Synthetic Rods – RXP combine a drumstick and a rod: a solid hickory handle gives you a more traditional stick feel, while the tip is made from ten nylon dowels for classic rod sound. The result is better playing feel than standard rods, clearer rimshots, cross-stick capability, and a sharp attack with plenty of bottom end.
Sometimes you want to switch to rods for volume, sound, or feel. Vic Firth built the RUTE-X with a solid hickory handle that gives the stick a more familiar, stick-like feel in the hand, paired with a rod tip for that characteristic rod sound.
This gives you not only a better playing feel than traditional rods, but also improved cymbal sound, clearer rimshots, and the option of cross-stick playing. An incredibly versatile stick that's nearly a must-have in the stick bag.
The tip is made up of ten nylon dowels, offering extra durability and a clear, bottom-heavy attack.
Who It's For
A great choice if you already play rods but want a more stick-like feel in hand, or if you want to add an alternative sound to your stick bag without giving up control and precision.
