Vic Firth MJC1 Modern Jazz 1 - Lacquer
Product Description
The Vic Firth MJC1 is a stick from the Modern Jazz Collection, featuring a slightly elongated 55A shaft with a medium taper and an oval tip. The thicker diameter adds a little extra weight, giving a clearer accent and emphasis on the ride cymbal. A great choice for jazz playing, though it works well in almost any musical setting.
Made from hickory with an oval wood tip, the MJC1 delivers a clear yet balanced attack against cymbals. The long taper helps with balance and reach, while the slightly elongated 55A diameter gives the stick more weight than a standard 55A.
Modern Jazz Collection
The MJC1 belongs to Vic Firth's Modern Jazz Collection, a series developed together with drummers such as Jeff Ballard, Greg Hutchinson, Joe McCarthy and Lewis Nash. The series is filled with models you won't find anywhere else, made from carefully selected raw materials and checked against high international quality standards.
