Vic Firth M4 American Custom Keyboard - Purple 2 Pairs

Product Description

The Vic Firth M4 American Custom Keyboard is a pair of mallets for keyboard percussion instruments such as xylophone, marimba and vibraphone, featuring a large round synthetic yarn head in Extra Soft hardness. The soft purple head delivers a warm, muted attack, making it especially suited to passages that call for pianissimo and delicate dynamic control.

Designed together with the world's best artists, Vic Firth's Keyboard and Timpani Mallets address a wide range of instruments and dynamic levels. The American Custom Keyboard series uses a birch handle for a stable yet responsive feel, paired with a large round head that spreads the attack evenly across the bars for a smooth, blended sound.

Who It's For

The M4 suits keyboard percussionists who need a truly soft mallet for the quietest passages, where a harder head would sound too aggressive. The exact sound and feel will depend on the instrument and musical context, but the M4's extra soft head is a natural choice for dynamically sensitive pieces.

Sold as a pair.
