The Vic Firth LB Legacy Brushes is a retractable wire brush with a wood handle for a natural feel in the hand and an infinitely adjustable spread. Medium gauge wires can be fanned out to a full 5" wide at the top outer edge, giving you a wide range of sound options from full, sweeping strokes to a tighter, more articulate touch.

The wood handle doesn't just feel good in the hand – it also adds its own sound color when played against cymbals. The medium gauge wire produces great sound and rebound while holding its shape well over time. Where the handle meets the wires, a rubber cover assures a pleasing tone when played up against the rim.

Playing Feel

The pull rod mechanism lets you set the exact spread you want and keep that same playing position throughout a song. Fan the wires out fully for a full, sweeping sound, or retract them for a tighter, more articulate response.
