Vic Firth HD9 American Classic Wood Tip
Vic Firth HD9 American Classic hickory drumsticks with oval wood tip. The SD9 model with more weight and length.
Product Description
The Vic Firth HD9 American Classic is a hickory version of the popular SD9 model (crafted in maple), featuring an oval wood tip. Hickory is denser and more durable than maple, giving the sticks added weight and a different feel. A great choice for players who love the 5B but want a little more weight and length.
Construction and Material
Turned from select American hickory, a dense wood with little flex for a more pronounced sound, and capable of withstanding a great deal of shock for high durability. The tip is deeply back-cut for intensified cymbal response. Tip shape is oval, made from hickory wood, with a medium taper. Surface finish is lacquer.
The American Classic Series
The American Classic® line combines tradition and Vic Firth style, offering classic models in traditional sizes and shapes, turned from carefully selected hickory.
