The Vic Firth FS7A American Concept Freestyle 7A is an extra-long 7A stick with an exaggerated taper, inspired by freestyle longboard skating. The extended taper more than doubles the area where you can place your fulcrum, opening up a wide range of feels and responses from a single pair of sticks. A longtime favourite among drummers worldwide.

Playing Feel

The long taper lets the stick flex and rebound differently depending on where you hold it, effectively giving you several different feels in one pair. Move your grip and you'll notice a different rebound and balance point. Many players also find the extra length gives them better reach around the kit.

Construction

Made from carefully selected American hickory, the most common wood for drumsticks thanks to its tone, durability and ability to absorb vibration. The tip is a wood Hybrid design, giving a slightly different attack than a classic round wood tip. The surface finish is lacquer. The stick belongs to the American Concept – Freestyle series.
