The Vic Firth FS5B American Concept Freestyle 5B is an extra-long drumstick with an exaggerated taper, inspired by freestyle longboard skateboarding. The combination of extra length and long taper more than doubles the area where you can place your fulcrum, giving you a huge range of feels and responses from the same pair. Made from hickory wood with a hybrid wood tip.

Feel and Balance

The long taper lets you shift your grip further along the stick than on a standard model, changing rebound and feel depending on where you hold it. That makes this pair unusually versatile across styles and dynamics within the same set.

Construction

Made from carefully selected American hickory, prized for its balance of tone, durability, and vibration absorption. The tip is the Hybrid model, made of wood. The finish is lacquer.
