Vic Firth Anders Åstrand Keyboard Medium-Blue
Keyboard mallets (M302) from Vic Firth, Anders Åstrand signature series. Medium hardness, blue cord head. Great for marimba and vibraphone.
Product Description
The Vic Firth M302 is a signature model designed by percussionist Anders Åstrand, made for marimba and vibraphone. It has medium hardness and a round head wound in blue cord, and belongs to Anders' Blue series, which is a bit heavier than his Orange series.
As a performer, clinician and composer, Anders Åstrand has worked extensively with brass quintets, choirs and big bands. Experience that shaped how he designed these mallets: knowing when a voice needs to cut through and when it needs to blend in. The Blue series, including the M302, has a slightly heavier feel in the hand compared to the Orange series, giving extra power and stability in the tone on marimba and vibraphone.
The handle is made from rattan and the head is wound with blue cord in a round shape for an even sound. The mallets are made with great precision from carefully selected materials.
Sold in pairs.
