The Vic Firth 7AT Terra is a 7A stick in American hickory with a wood tip, where the maker's patented staining process brings out the natural grain of the wood so every stick looks slightly different. The surface is smooth yet grippy, giving a secure feel without changing the classic 7A playing character. A good option if you like traditional dimensions but want a stick with extra visual character.

The stick belongs to Vic Firth's American Classic series, the maker's range of classic, traditional models. The hickory is carefully selected for its combination of tone, durability and vibration absorption – qualities that have made the wood the go-to choice for drumsticks for decades. The Terra series uses the same construction but enhances the look through a unique staining process, so the grain in the hickory stands out and no two pairs look quite the same.

Vic Firth since 1963

Everett "Vic" Firth started making sticks in 1963, and they have long been among the most used sticks by percussionists worldwide. Manufacturing takes place with the usual precision and careful quality control at the factory in Newport, Maine. The range today spans hickory sticks for drum set playing to maple models, marching sticks, brushes, rods and mallets for most percussion instruments.
