The Vic Firth AH7A is the 7A model from the American Heritage series, crafted in maple instead of hickory. It gives a lighter stick with greater rebound and flex, and an airier, more relaxed sound – a favorite for jazz and lower-volume gigs.
American Heritage takes Vic Firth's most popular American Classic models and produces them in maple rather than hickory, giving drummers the same dimensional feel and balance but with a lighter, more "airy" sound, especially on cymbals. This lets you change your sound and color without changing feel and balance.
