Vic Firth 5BCO Chop-Out Practice Stick 5B - Lacquer

Product Description

The Vic Firth 5BCO Chop-Out is a practice stick made of hickory, designed with the feel of a classic 5B but with a rubber tip so you can practice anytime, anywhere. The elongated taper simulates the balance of a 5B, letting you keep your chops sharp without carrying a practice pad.

The idea is simple: instead of hauling around a separate practice pad, you just bring the Chop-Out sticks. They're easy to carry while traveling, backstage, waiting for the bus, or on a coffee break at work. Just pull them out and go to work on the nearest tabletop, bench, sink, or workshop floor.

Construction and Materials

The stick is turned from select hickory, a dense wood with little flex that gives a more pronounced sound and can withstand a great deal of shock, making it highly durable. The shaft has an elongated taper simulating the balance of a classic 5B, and the surface is lacquered. The rubber tip creates an authentic feel for practice, and also produces interesting timbres if played on drums and cymbals.

Who It's For

Ideal for drummers who want to practice their chops or warm up wherever they are, without carrying a practice pad. Also works as a regular practice stick on any surface.

This model belongs to the American Classic® line, Vic Firth's range of traditional stick models made from carefully selected hickory and checked to meet the highest international quality standards.
