The 5B is one of Vic Firth's best-selling models, and this version comes in a sleek black finish. It has a slightly larger diameter than the 5A but the same length, giving you a bit more power in the stroke and a livelier rebound. A solid choice if you want more punch in your playing without switching to a completely different model.
The tear drop wood tip gives a warm, full tone against cymbals and heads, and the stick is turned from select hickory - a dense wood with little flex that gives a more pronounced sound and holds up well to hard playing.
