Meinl Percussion Vertical Subwoofer Cajon 50x40x28 cm - Makah-Burl

Product Description

The Vertical Subwoofer Cajon from Meinl Percussion features a Makah-Burl front plate and sides in eco-friendly fiberboard, with vertical bass ports on the sides instead of the traditional sound hole on the back. The design gives the cajon a fuller, more distinctive sound with extra character, making it a great choice for players who want to explore new sounds and grooves.

• Makah-Burl front plate for clear, sensitive response
• Body and sides in black MDF and eco-friendly fiberboard
• Vertical bass ports on the side add depth and character to the sound
• Internal reflex channel enhances the tonal character
• Fixed internal snare wires increase clarity and sensitivity of the front plate

Sound Character

By moving the bass port from the back to the sides and adding an internal reflex channel, this cajon gets more depth and character than a traditional cajon. The fixed snare wires against the inside of the front plate give a distinct snare buzz that enhances the attack and sensitivity of light strokes.

Who It's For

A good choice for players who already have some cajon experience and want an instrument with its own, more exploratory sound. It may not be the best first choice for beginners looking for a classic cajon tone.
