Vater Mike Mangini Wicked Piston
Drumsticks from Vater, Wicked Piston, Mike Mangini's signature model in American hickory for solid sound. Extra length lets you adjust the weight.
Product Description
The Wicked Piston is Mike Mangini's own signature drumstick from Vater, made from American hickory and built to combine power with balance. The stick's extra length lets you adjust how much front weight you want, for a more solid sound on every hit.
Mike Mangini, drummer in Dream Theater and a four-time Grammy nominee, helped develop this stick from the ground up. It carries a slightly heavier front weight than a standard stick, giving a fuller and more controlled hit without feeling heavy in the hand.
The extra length isn't incidental: by gripping the stick further back or further forward, you can fine-tune the balance yourself and decide how much of the front weight affects your feel while playing. That makes the Wicked Piston a stick you can adapt to your own playing style.
