Vater Sweet Ride Wood Tip

Product Description

The Vater Sweet Ride is a maple drumstick with a wood tip, built to bring out a mature, full tone from drums and cymbals. Maple makes the stick lighter than a comparable hickory stick while still giving the feel of a larger stick in the hand.

Maple differs from the more common hickory in a couple of concrete ways: it's lighter in weight for the same diameter, which many players find easier on the hands and arms over long sets, while also producing a different tone and volume than hickory. Many of Vater's popular hickory models are therefore also available in maple, for drummers who prefer the tone and volume that only maple sticks deliver.

The wood tip gives a warmer, rounder attack on cymbals compared to a nylon tip, which pairs well with the already softer character of the maple stick.
