Vater Concert Wood Tip

Product Description

The Vater Maple Concert Wood Tip is a maple drumstick with a wood tip, part of Vater's Sugar Maple Series. The maple construction gives a full, warm tone from drums and cymbals and a lighter feel in the hand compared to a hickory stick of the same model.

Maple is a lighter wood than hickory, giving the stick the feel of a larger stick without the added weight. This also affects the sound: many drummers find that maple sticks deliver a fuller, warmer tone and a different volume character than the equivalent hickory models.

Part of a wider range

Many of Vater's popular hickory models are also available in maple, for drummers who prefer the tone and volume that only maple sticks can deliver.

Who It's For

A good choice if you already like a particular hickory model but want a lighter feel and a warmer low end without switching models.
