Headhunters Tublitz 5B
Drumstick with a polycarbonate tube instead of a tip. Fast rebound, low friction and a darker cymbal tone. Great for smooth buzz rolls.
Product Description
The Headhunters Tublitz 5B is a drumstick where the standard tip has been replaced by a 5 cm long, 1 cm thick polycarbonate tube, fitted onto a classic 5B hickory stick. The tube gives a noticeably faster rebound and a darker, lower cymbal tone than a regular drumstick.
The polycarbonate tube has a natural flex that makes the stick rebound much faster than a comparable wood-tip stick. At the same time it lowers the volume level against cymbals, producing a soft, dark tone instead of the bright, defined attack of a regular tip.
Because the tube offers very little resistance or friction against heads and cymbals, it's easy to play a smooth buzz roll and to keep a low, controlled dynamic even in quiet passages. The construction also makes the stick extra durable. A polycarbonate tube simply won't break the way a wood tip can crack or snap.
