Tama Superstar Classic CL50RS-TPB - Transparent Black Burst Set of 5

Product Description

The Tama Superstar Classic delivers the feel of a classic maple drum kit in a modern guise. The sound is warm, full-bodied and dynamic, equally at home in the studio or on stage. The Transparent Black Burst finish gives the kit a premium, timeless look. Please note that hardware stands, cymbals and practice pads are not included.

Classic Maple Shells with Modern Response

Built on 100% maple shells, the Superstar Classic delivers a warm tone with clear attack and rich resonance. The thin shell construction enhances dynamics, making every stroke feel alive regardless of playing style or genre. The bass drum uses a slightly thicker shell for more power and fuller low end, while the toms and snare stay light and open.

Precision in Every Detail

The drums feature Tama's Star-Mount system, which minimises contact with the shell so each tom can vibrate freely and project its full voice. The 45° bearing edges are identical to those on Tama's higher-end models, contributing to easier tuning and a more open sound. The low-mass lugs are sleek and understated, styled after the original 1970s Superstar design.

A Finish That Stands Out

The Transparent Black Burst lacquer highlights the natural wood grain and creates depth that really comes alive under stage lighting, with dark edges fading softly toward a clearer centre.

Great from Day One. Even Better with New Heads

The kit ships with Tama's own Power Craft II heads, which perform well straight out of the box. Many players swap heads after a while to fully unlock the maple tone. The drums sound great immediately and only get better over time.
