Tama Superstar Classic CL50RS-TLB - Tangerine Lacquer Burst

Product Description

The Tama Superstar Classic CL50RS-TLB is a 5-piece drum kit with 100% maple shells, finished in a striking Tangerine Lacquer Burst. The kit carries the classic T-logo and lug design inspired by the legendary Superstar series from the 70s, combined with modern, free-floating tom mounts for a fuller tone. A great choice if you want a kit with real character and solid quality without paying flagship prices.

• 100% maple shells for a warm, resonant tone
• Star-Cast Mounting System. Toms vibrate freely for optimal sound
• Omnisphere tom holder with L-arm for easy adjustment and stability
• Low Mass Lugs in classic Tama design
• Bass drum claw hooks with protective rubber spacers

Construction and Sound

The toms and snare drum feature 6-ply maple shells, 5 mm, while the bass drum is built with an 8-ply maple shell, 7 mm. The Star-Cast mounting system lets the mounted toms vibrate freely instead of being rigidly coupled to the stand, giving more resonance and a fuller tone right out of the box. The included heads are perfectly usable, but the kit's sound potential exceeds what the stock heads reveal. A future head upgrade will lift the tone even further.

Hardware

The bass drum has a double tom holder (Omnisphere Tomholder) with Tama's classic Omnisphere L-arm, giving stable and easily adjustable mounting for the toms. The lugs are Low Mass Lugs, and the bass drum's claw hooks feature protective rubber spacers that shield the finish.

Who It's For

A great fit if you want a kit with its own sound character and solid build quality at a fair price. Equally at home in the rehearsal room and on stage.
