Tama Superstar Classic CK50RS-ISP - Indigo Sparkle

Product Description

The Tama Superstar Classic CK50RS-ISP is a 5-piece shell pack built from wrapped maple shells in Indigo Sparkle finish. The series takes visual cues from the legendary 70s Superstar line, with the classic T-logo and similar-looking lugs, while using modern, resonant 100% maple shells. The Star-Cast mounting system lets the toms vibrate freely for full tone, giving this kit strong sound credentials well beyond its price point.

• 5-piece shell pack: 20"x16" bass drum, 10"x7" and 12"x8" toms, 14"x14" floor tom and 14"x5" snare drum
• 100% maple shells. Toms, floor tom and snare in 6-ply maple laminate, 5 mm, bass drum in 8-ply maple laminate, 7 mm
• Star-Cast Mounting System for free tom resonance
• Omnisphere tom holder with Tama's classic L-arm for solid adjustability and stability
• Low Mass Lugs in classic Tama design
• Claw hooks with rubber spacers on the bass drum for protected, secure tuning
• Double tom holder included

Construction and Sound

Thin, resonant maple shells combined with the Star-Cast mounting system let the toms vibrate freely instead of being choked by the mount, giving this kit a more open, fuller sound than you'd expect at this price. The stock heads are perfectly usable, but they don't fully match the shells' sonic potential. Swapping heads down the line will unlock even more tone.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a complete, affordable kit with genuine maple shells and thoughtful details that punch well above their price class, for both practice and gigs.
