SIGU drums Ash Batter Side 8-Lugs 14" - Ash
Ash wood hoop for 14" 8-lug snare drum, batter side. Adds volume and crisp high-frequency attack.
Product Description
A solid ash wood hoop from SIGU Drums, made for the batter side of a 14" snare drum with 8 lugs. The hoop is finished with a specially selected, environmentally friendly water-based lacquer and gives the drum noticeably more volume and attack than a standard metal hoop.
Ash is just as hard as oak, but in drum building it's used because it gives more loudness, plenty of high-frequency attack, and a flat mix of mids and lows. It's a change you'll hear as much as see.
Since the hoop is made from natural wood, please note that wood grain and colour can be slightly different from the picture. That's simply part of working with a real wood material and doesn't affect performance.
Fit
The hoop is sized for a 14" diameter, 8-lug snare drum, and is fitted as the batter side hoop.
