The Tommy Aldridge Oak Signature is a long, thick oak drumstick built to handle heavy hitting. It's based on ProMark's 2S street model shape and made from Shira Kashi oak with a wood tip.
Tommy Aldridge has played with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake and Yngwie Malmsteen, and is known for his power and his signature use of double bass drums. That kind of playing demands sticks that hold up to heavy hands and transfer the power straight through – which is why oak and the long, thick 2S shape became the answer.
The oak shaft gives the stick a solid, heavy feel with strong durability, while the oval wood tip adds a warm, full tone on heads and cymbals compared to a nylon tip.
