The Toca Freestyle Djembe in 7" is a lightweight, durable djembe with a PVC shell, natural head, and Alpine low-stretch braided core strings that keep it in tune. A great size for a portable djembe at the campfire, in the rehearsal room, or alongside a larger percussion setup.

The shell is made from lightweight yet durable PVC, making the drum easy to carry while still holding up to everyday handling. The lower edge of the shell has a protective rubber coating that absorbs knocks and wear when the drum is set down or placed on the ground.

The head is a natural head, giving the drum a warm, organic djembe tone. The strings holding the head in place are Alpine low-stretch braided core strings. A construction that, according to the manufacturer, delivers a sound with voluminous bass (especially noticeable on the 10" and 12" versions) and crisp, precise rim sounds, while keeping tuning stable over time.
