Construction

The shell is built from parawood, a dense and stable wood that gives the conga a warm, full fundamental tone. The heads are natural heads, giving the conga the organic, lively character associated with traditional congas. The tension hoops are Toca's Easy Play Hoops, designed to make tuning and playing easier. The hardware consists of 8 mm tension rods and side plates with rubber gaskets, finished in chrome for long-term durability.

Sound and design

The Afro-Cuban design gives more volume and resonance compared to a more compact build, which is clearly noticeable in the tone. The height is 30", a classic conga height that works well both standing and seated. The colour is Matte Blue, a matte blue finish that gives the conga a clean, stylish look.
