26" Evans Strata
26" Evans Strata timpani head. Pre-tuned, warm calfskin-like tone, more durable than traditional timpani heads.
Product Description
26" timpani head from Evans' Strata series, pre-tuned with a warm tone reminiscent of calfskin and a clear, defined pitch. The head is more durable than traditional timpani heads and fits the same stable hoops used on Evans ET heads.
The Strata heads are designed to give orchestral timpani an authentic, warm tonal character without the drawbacks of natural calfskin, such as sensitivity to humidity and temperature. Thanks to the pre-tuned construction and more durable build, the head holds its shape better over time.
