The Thomas Lang STL is Vic Firth's signature stick made with drummer Thomas Lang – a sturdy hickory stick with a large shaft and an oversized teardrop tip built to speak loudly and clearly. A good pick if you want a stick that cuts through the mix without losing control.
Made from hickory with a medium taper, the STL strikes a balance between feel and durability – a good compromise between a back-heavy and front-heavy stick, with quick response. The oversized wood teardrop tip has a large surface area, which produces a darker, fuller tone with clear stick definition on impact. The surface has a painted finish.
