The Progressive Foundry MIDI
MIDI pack, The Progressive Foundry, from Toontrack. Grooves and fills for progressive metal and heavy rock.
Product Description
The Progressive Foundry MIDI is a drum MIDI pack from Toontrack with grooves and fills specifically intended for progressive metal and heavy rock songwriting. The material comes from The Progressive Foundry SDX and was performed by Australian drummer Brody Simpson, delivering an inventive set of beats across a variety of time signatures. A great foundation for your next riff or song.
Get anything from straight, pummeling 4/4 grooves for traditional heavy rock songs to intricate, polyrhythmic patterns in 5/4, 6/4 and 7/8. All material is categorized by song section. Verse, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge and fill. Making it easy to find the right groove for the right part of your arrangement. Tempos range from 67 to 180 BPM, in both swing and straight feel.
The pack works with EZdrummer, EZdrummer 2, Superior Drummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3, and is optimized for a setup with 1 kick, 1 snare, 1 tom, 1 floor tom, 2 crash cymbals and 1 ride cymbal. Please note this is the same MIDI as included in The Progressive Foundry SDX. A good option if you already own a drum library and just want to add these grooves and fills.
Who It's For
For anyone writing progressive metal or heavy rock who wants a ready-made foundation to build on, or who's looking for inspiration for their own grooves in unusual time signatures.
