The Eighties EBX

Product Description

The Eighties EBX is an EZbass expansion from Toontrack built around the bass sound of the 1980s. It pairs a high-end electric bass guitar with a classic analog synthesizer bass, complete with presets and a custom MIDI library. It's a great fit if you want anything from vintage-leaning pop bass to full-on synth pop bass in your production.

The expansion comes with two individual instruments: a high-end electric bass guitar and a synth bass based on an iconic analog synthesizer, each handpicked for their qualities and overall influence on the music of the era. The electric bass is sampled with both finger and pick options, letting you switch between a softer and a more aggressive attack. The synth bass features three user-controllable oscillators for each preset, giving you extensive control over the tone.

Both instruments span the range from A0 to E4. In addition to the instruments themselves, The Eighties EBX includes a wealth of presets covering a wide range of '80s-inspired tones, plus a custom MIDI library tailored for each instrument, so you can start writing and producing right away.

Who It's For

The Eighties EBX suits producers working in pop, rock or electronic music who want a convincing '80s bass sound, whether the goal is a vintage feel or a modern, synth-driven production.
