Tamborim 6''
6" Tamborim with Meinl's Floatune tuning system for high, stable pitch. Affordable ABS shell.
Product Description
The Meinl Tamborim 6" is a Brazilian hand drum featuring Meinl's patented Floatune tuning system, which lets you tune the head high while keeping it stable over time. The shell is made from affordable ABS, making it a great choice if you want to get started without spending too much on the instrument.
The Floatune system is the whole point of this tamborim: many traditional models lose their tuning quickly or can't be tuned high enough for the crisp, cutting sound that samba and other Brazilian styles demand. With Floatune, that problem is solved.
Shell and finish
Meinl offers this tamborim in three different shell materials: affordable ABS (this model), Chrome, or the lightweight Aluminum shell. The ABS version is a natural first choice if you want to try the instrument or need a sturdy everyday tamborim.
A gig bag is also available as an accessory for easy storage and transport. Note that it is not included with the drum itself.
