Tama Superstar Classic - Gloss Natural Blonde Set of 5

Product Description

The Tama Superstar Classic CL50RS-GNL is a 5-piece shell pack with 100% maple shells in a Gloss Natural Blonde finish. The set ties back to the legendary Superstar series from the 70s with the same T-logo and similar lug design, but gets a modern Star-Cast Mounting System that lets the toms resonate freely for full tone. A great-value kit with genuine sonic credentials.

• 100% maple shells. Toms and snare in 6-ply maple laminate, 5 mm, bass drum in 8-ply maple laminate, 7 mm
• Star-Cast Mounting System for freely resonating toms
• Omnisphere Tom Holder with Tama's classic L-arm for solid adjustability, mounted as a double tom holder on the bass drum
• Low Mass Lugs. Small lugs in classic Tama design
• Claw hooks with rubber spacers protecting the bass drum's tension points

What's Included

The kit consists of five drums: a 20"x16" bass drum, 10"x7" and 12"x8" rack toms, a 14"x14" floor tom and a 14"x5" snare drum. A double tom holder for the rack toms is included, mounted on the bass drum. Hardware is not included. Tama's recommended hardware pack is the SM5W, double-braced, with 2 boom cymbal stands, a snare stand, a hi-hat stand and a bass drum pedal.

Sound and Feel

The Superstar Classic stands on its own sonic merits and holds up well in quality despite its budget-friendly price. The stock heads are decent, but don't quite match the kit's full sound potential. A head upgrade down the line will lift the tone even further.

Who It's For

A great choice for players who want a complete, affordable kit rooted in Tama's classic design, with a resonant maple shell that gives you room to grow into the sound.
