Tama Superstar Classic Exotic - Gloss Sapphire Lacebark Pine Set of 7

Product Description

The Tama Superstar Classic Exotic is a seven-piece shell pack built in 100% maple with a lacquered Gloss Sapphire Lacebark Pine finish. It's rooted in Tama's classic 70s design but built with modern, resonant shells and Star-Cast Mounting that lets the toms ring freely. A confident choice for players who want genuine drum tone without flagship pricing.

• 100% maple shells for a warm, open tone
• Star-Cast Mounting System for free tom resonance
• Omnisphere tom holder with the classic L-arm for stable, precise adjustment
• Low Mass Lugs in classic Tama design
• Claw hooks with protective rubber spacers on the bass drum
• Includes MTH600 double tom holder and MC69 tom holder

Construction

The toms and snare drum use 6-ply maple shells at 5 mm, while the bass drum has a sturdier 8-ply maple shell at 7 mm. The thin, resonant shells combined with Star-Cast Mounting let the toms vibrate freely for full tone. Don't let the price fool you, Superstar Classic stands on its own sonic merits.

Heads and future upgrades

The kit ships with heads of decent quality, though not quite matching the shells' full sonic potential. Swapping heads down the line is an easy way to unlock even more tone.

Included in delivery

The MTH600 double tom holder for the bass drum and the MC69 tom holder are included. Stands are not included. The recommended companion is the SM5W hardware pack with two boom cymbal stands, a snare stand, a hi-hat stand and a bass drum pedal.

Who It's For

Great for players who want a complete, exotic-finished drum kit with genuine maple tone and Tama's classic hardware, without paying flagship prices.
