Tama Superstar Classic CL50RS - Blue Lacquer Burst

Product Description

The Tama Superstar Classic CL50RS-BAB is a 5-piece shell pack built with 100% maple shells and a striking Blue Lacquer Burst finish. It carries the classic T-logo and lug design of the legendary 70s Superstar series, updated with modern, resonant shells and Star-Cast mounting for maximum tone. A great choice if you want a rich-sounding kit at a competitive price, without hardware.

• 100% maple shells for a warm, resonant tone
• Star-Cast Mounting System. Toms hang freely for full sound
• Omnisphere tom holder with dual L-arms for precise, stable positioning
• Low Mass Lugs in classic Tama design
• Claw hooks with rubber spacers protecting the bass drum hooks

Construction

The toms and snare are built with 6-ply maple shells at 5 mm, while the bass drum has a heavier 8-ply maple shell at 7 mm. The Star-Cast mounting system lets the toms vibrate freely instead of being dampened by a traditional mount, giving more resonance and tone. The stock heads are perfectly playable, but don't quite match the shells' sound potential. Upgrading heads down the line will unlock even more tone.

Who It's For

The Superstar Classic suits players who want genuine Tama heritage and strong sonic credentials without flagship pricing. It ships as a pure shell pack. Bass drum, toms, floor tom and snare with the double tom holder mounted. But without cymbal or snare stands, so you'll need to add your own hardware pack.
