In this limited White Pearl finish, the Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch brings together two of the finest shell woods in modern drum building – the clear attack of birch and the warm, full-bodied depth of American black walnut. The result is a kit that sounds equally at home on stage and in the studio. The shell pack contains bass drum, two rack toms and a floor tom, while stands, snare drum and cymbals are sold separately.

Hybrid shells with real character

The toms feature a 6 mm shell with four plies of birch and two inner plies of black walnut, while the bass drum is built from an 8 mm shell with five plies of birch and two inner plies of American black walnut. The pairing produces a clean, focused fundamental that tunes effortlessly – whether you prefer high-tuned single-ply heads or deep, fat double-ply tones, these drums respond beautifully to whatever you ask of them and reward both delicate and hard-hitting playing alike.

Pro-grade details throughout

Like every Starclassic kit, this one features Starclassic lugs, die-cast hoops and the Star-Cast Mounting system with Quick-Lock tom brackets – a setup that suspends the tom for maximum resonance and gives you fast, intuitive positioning. The included MTH1000 double tom holder is built on the same heavy-duty platform as the Star tom stand. Rubber spacers on the bass drum claw hooks keep things rattle-free, and cushioned floor tom legs preserve the full bottom-end resonance of the shell.

EVANSxAE heads and Black Nickel hardware

The kit ships with drumheads co-developed with Evans. The toms wear G2 Clear batters for a focused tone with full sustain, while the bass drum arrives with the EQ4 – a batter head that delivers punch and natural control straight out of the box. The dark sheen of the Black Nickel hardware against the pearl-white wrap completes the visual statement and makes this a kit that turns heads as easily as it fills a room.
