Starclassic Walnut/Birch is a 3-piece drum kit from Tama in the Charcoal Onyx finish. The shells are built as a hybrid of Walnut and Birch, giving a big fundamental tone and a stable bottom end.

Sound and Feel

The combination of Walnut and Birch gives a clear and pure tone, and the kit is described as extremely easy to tune. The tom and floor tom are built with a 6mm shell in 4 plies of Birch and 2 inner plies of Black Walnut. The bass drum has a thicker 8mm shell with 5 plies of Birch and 2 inner plies of American Black Walnut.

Construction

The kit is built with Starclassic Lugs and die-cast hoops. The toms are mounted with Star-Cast Mounting and Starcast with Quick-Lock Tom fittings, while the floor tom stands on legs with Quick-Lock Tom leg fittings and Cushioned Floor Tom Legs. It also features Claw Hooks with rubber grommets.
