Tama Starclassic Performer 14x6,5" - Piano Black

Product Description

The Tama Starclassic Performer MBSS65-PBK is a 14"x6.5" snare drum with a hybrid maple and birch shell, finished in Piano Black Finish. The combination gives a powerful tone with stability and good rimshot response, and the drum tunes easily whether you run high-tuned single-ply heads or heavier two-ply heads.

Shell and Construction

The Starclassic Performer is the first drum in the series with a hybrid shell built from four outer plies of birch and two inner plies of maple, 6 mm total thickness. The combination is valued for its powerful tone. The hoops are die-cast with 10 holes, giving stability and a solid tone with good rimshot response.

Tuning and Hardware

Tama is known for shells that tune easily, and the SC Performer is no exception. The drum is fitted with Starclassic lugs and MCS70A/MCS70B strainer and butt plate.

Who It's For

A good choice for drummers who want a versatile snare drum with a powerful tone, whether the heads are tuned high and tight or low and fat.
