Tama Stage Master HS40SN

Product Description

The Tama HS40SN is a snare stand from the semi-professional Stage Master series, built with single-braced legs and stepless drum angle adjustment. It fits snare drums from 12" to 15" in diameter, giving you control over height, angle and snare basket placement.

The Stage Master series offers somewhat simpler solutions than Tama's more expensive stand series, while keeping the same high quality in materials and construction. According to the source specification line, the letter N in the designation HS40WN indicates that the stand has slightly heavier-gauge tubing than a previous model (note that the source text writes HS40WN on this line, while the product's own model name is HS40SN. See note).

Construction

The stand has an upper tube of 22.2 mm and a lower section with a 25.4 mm tube diameter. The die-cast coupling has an ergonomic T-screw that locks the angle securely. Rubber feet keep the stand in place on the floor.

Adjustment and placement

Height is adjustable, 470mm-630mm per the source specification, and the swiveling basket can be rotated to position the snare mechanism as needed. The stepless angle adjustment lets you tilt the drum freely without being locked into preset positions.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a reliable snare stand at a more affordable price point than Tama's top series, without compromising on build quality.
