Tama Sound Arc Hoop 14" - Brass
Tama Sound Arc Hoop, brass batter-side hoop, 14", 2.3mm, 8 holes. Softer attack, more sustain.
Product Description
The Sound Arc Hoop is a brass hoop from Tama, designed to give the snare drum a softer attack and longer sustain. It sits on the batter side and was developed specifically for the STAR Reserve Solid Maple snare drum, but fits other 14" snares with the same hole pattern.
The 2.3mm brass hoop features an inward curve that produces a milder attack and more sustain compared to a standard triple-flanged steel hoop. The design also improves sensitivity, tuning accuracy and overall control of the drum's tone.
The hoop has 8 holes and is sized for a 14" snare drum.
