Tama SLP Mod Bubinga 12"x7" - Electro Turquoise

Product Description

The Tama SLP 12"x7" Mod Bubinga is a snare drum with a bubinga shell finished in a striking Electro Turquoise. The format delivers extra depth and body compared to a standard snare, with a warm, full tone for players who want both sound and looks.

Construction and materials

The shell is built from bubinga in nine plies, approximately 6 mm thick, giving a warm yet articulate tone with strong attack and resonance. The hoops are Sound Arc Hoop (6-hole) design, offering clear response and control over resonance. The lugs are MSL-SCT hardware, and the snare wires are 20-strand carbon steel.

Tonal character and playability

Thanks to its 12x7" format, this snare delivers more body and depth than standard shallow snares, offering richness, nuance and presence. The bubinga shell adds a full, rounded character while retaining clarity and articulation.

Applications

This snare suits drummers who want a professional tool with both tone and stage presence. It works equally well in the studio and on stage, and fits rock, pop, fusion and groove-based music where sound and style both matter.
