Tama's Sizzle Touch Drop Clutch (STDC7) lets you adjust the gap between the hi-hat cymbals for a looser, trashier sound, and lets you attach or remove it with a single push of a button. A handy tool for drummers who want more control over their hi-hat texture, on stage or in the studio.
Hi-Hat Sound Adjustment
By turning the adjusting bolt (H) clockwise, the top cymbal moves upwards and the gap to the bottom cymbal widens. This opens up a looser, more trashy hi-hat sound. Pushing down on the hi-hat stand's footboard locks the clutch back in place for normal hi-hat function.
Quick-Set Hi-Hat Clutch
The Quick-Set Clutch attaches or releases with a single push of the button on its side. It also lets the top hi-hat cymbal float more freely, bringing out more of the cymbals' natural resonance.
