The Tama S.L.P. Studio Maple is a 4-piece shell pack from Tama's Sound Lab Project series, built to deliver a warm, focused sound with a touch of vintage character. With 100% maple shells, wooden hoops, and Sound Focus Rings, this kit offers a balanced tone suited for both live performances and studio recording.

Engineered for Sound and Feel

The toms feature 6-ply (5 mm) maple shells, while the bass drum uses an 8-ply (6 mm) maple shell, producing a rich and articulate tone. Internal Sound Focus Rings enhance structural stability and control overtones, resulting in a clear attack and short sustain.

Wooden Hoops for Vintage Character

The 100% maple wood hoops add aesthetic appeal while contributing to a warm, rounded tone with controlled decay. This makes the kit particularly well suited for recording situations where natural resonance is desired.

Flexible Mounting and Finish
