Tama S.L.P. 12"x7" - Satin Bubinga
Product Description
The Tama S.L.P. LBU127-SBG is a snare drum built from solid bubinga, delivering a warm, focused tone with a clear attack. The 9-ply bubinga shell combined with the Sound Arc Hoop gives a full, sensitive sound, finished off in a satin Bubinga finish that looks as good as it sounds.
Bubinga as a shell material gives a warm, full tone with plenty of resonance, while the Sound Arc Hoop (6 hole) contributes to an open response and stable tuning. The shell is 6.0mm thick, built from 9 plies of bubinga, giving the snare its characteristic low-end punch without losing clarity in the attack.
The batter head is an Evans G1 Coated and the snare-side head an Evans Snare Side, a combination that gives a round yet clearly defined attack. The snare wires are Starclassic 20-strand carbon steel wires, providing a tight and controlled snare response. The strainer/butt is the MLS30/MLS30B, and the lugs are the MSL-SCT (Starclassic). The same found on Tama's Starclassic series.
