Construction and Sound

The shells are built from 100% poplar, 6 ply, 8 mm total, with Tama Precision Bearing Edges for good response and easy tuning. The wrap is fully glued directly to the shell, giving better sound and a professional look. The bass drum hoops are wood with a finish matching the bass drum. The toms sit in an OMNISPHERE Tom Holder, a stable mount with solid adjustment options so you get the right angle without hassle.

Hardware and Cymbals

The kit comes with a hardware pack from Tama's Stagemaster series: hi-hat stand, snare stand, one boom stand and one straight cymbal stand, all double-braced and stable. It also includes an Iron Cobra 200 bass drum pedal and an HT25 throne. For cymbals, a complete Meinl HCS set is included: 14" hi-hat, 16" crash and 20" ride, so you're ready to play with no extra purchases.

Who It's For

The Imperialstar is a great choice if you're buying your first drum kit but don't want to compromise on durability and playability. Unlike many budget beginner kits, the shells, snare mechanism and tom mount are a clear step up in quality. If the kit needs to grow with you, it can be expanded with additional toms later on.
