What's Included

The kit includes a 22"x18" bass drum, 10"x8" and 12"x9" rack toms, a 16"x14" floor tom and a 14"x5" snare drum. It also comes with an Iron Cobra 200 bass drum pedal, an HT130 drum throne and Stagemaster series hardware with double-braced legs: hi-hat stand, snare stand, one boom stand and one straight cymbal stand. The cymbals are Meinl HCS. 14" hi-hat, 16" crash and 20" ride.

Construction and Sound

The shells are built from 100% poplar, 6 plies, with a total thickness of 7.5 mm, and feature TAMA Precision Bearing Edges for good head-to-shell contact. The wrap is glued directly to the shell, giving both an optimized sound and a more professional look. Tom mounting is handled by TAMA's OMNISPHERE Tom Holder, offering good adjustment options and a stable fit, while the bass drum uses Accu-Tune hoops that are smart and durable over time.

Who It's For

The Imperialstar is a great choice for anyone putting together their first drum kit or looking for a reliable set for practice and rehearsal. The stable shells are easy to tune and will keep up through the first eager years of a drumming career. And then some. If you want to expand the kit with extra toms later, that's easy to do.
