Product Description
The Tama Concert Maple is a concert snare drum designed for drummers at every level. The 7-ply, 6 mm maple shell delivers an open, warm, resonant sound with great sensitivity. The unique Fine Adjuster snare mechanism with hybrid snare wire allows a wider tonal range to fit any mix.
The snare wire is a Hybrid Snare Wire setup: 6 strands of nickel wound round guitar string in the center, surrounded on each side by a cluster of 3 strands of black nylon coated stainless steel wire. This combination gives an excellent snare response, from a delicate pianissimo to a powerful, full-bodied forte. The lugs are MTL50 tube lugs, and the hoops are Steel Mighty Hoops with 10 holes for stable tuning. The snare mechanism consists of an MLS50AC with Fine Adjuster on the batter side and an MLS50BC on the buttside. The drum has 3 air vents for natural shell ventilation.
