The Tama Concert Maple CLMP1465-PBK is a 14x6.5" concert snare drum built for drummers at every level. Its 7-ply, 6 mm maple shell delivers an open, warm, resonant sound with great sensitivity, and the unique Fine Adjuster snare mechanism with Hybrid Snare Wire allows a wider tonal range to fit the mix.
Snare wires and response
The snare wires use a hybrid construction: 6 strands of nickel-wound round guitar string in the center, flanked on each side by a cluster of 3 strands of black nylon-coated stainless steel wire. The result is a snare response that stays consistent from a delicate pianissimo to a powerful, full-bodied forte.
Construction
The shell has 3 air vents and Steel Mighty Hoops with 10 holes. The lugs are MTL50 (tube lugs), and the snare mechanism consists of an MLS50AC with Fine Adjuster on the batter side and an MLS50BC on the butt side. The finish is PBK Piano Black.
